At first, I was not sure about the design I should do for my html webpage. In the beginning I consider of many designs. After that I refer back to my tutorial notes and saw the lecture about developing a table. Hence, I decided to create a table for our html webpage. But in the end I found out that we need to include an introduction on ourselves so we do the HTML page all over again in a simpler way.
For me I personally think that technologies have its pro and cons. If you are not familiar with those entire high-tech things you may not able to continue with your work. Sometimes it really can bring down your work efficiency. Moreover, to build a web page you need a lot of patience especially for the new learner.
My partner and I are mass communication students, so we are not that familiar with the coding. So, it takes time for us to pick up the skills. Sometime I will forget that the tag is come in a pair so I will forget to include the close tag. Besides that, some of the time I am confused where am I suppose to put the coding. For an instance, should I put < align="center" style="font-size="> or < align="center"> < style="font-size=">. So, we just try out and see how the result is. After we had tried out, we found out that we should use the coding < align="center" style="font-size="> because we want our name to be in the middle and the font size to be 20pt. While for our name, we bold it with <>< /b >, so it looks more outstanding. On the hand, we used <>< /br > to separate our title and the photo, so it does not look too pack. We also like our title “Introduction to Internet Technologies” to be slanting so it is different from other words. Then we also added a background color and change the color of the word in HTML page that make it doesn’t look so dull. Finally we come out with a page that included our photos and the link to our blog separately.
For the free web server at the first step I went to geocities website to apply for an account but new geocities accounts are no longer available. So I went to bravehost.com webpage to apply a free web server. After the webpage had done loading, I start to upload the photos. When I was creating a blog, I used the previous account created when I posted comment for our tutorial. As I do not have the habit of writing blogs, I will have to pick up the skill. Luckily I manage to find out where to start blogging.
As the conclusion, I would say that doing a HTML page is fun because you can create your own page. You can design it in the way you like. If I am going to work on this assignment again I would probably try on a table. This is because it will look more organizing in a table form and I would like to insert more tags in my HTML page.
